I Am A: Lawful Good Human Paladin (4th Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-16

Dexterity-16

Constitution-15

Intelligence-11

Wisdom-13

Charisma-13

Alignment:
Lawful Good A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion. However, lawful good can be a dangerous alignment because it restricts freedom and criminalizes self-interest.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class:
Paladins take their adventures seriously, and even a mundane mission is, in the heart of the paladin, a personal test an opportunity to demonstrate bravery, to learn tactics, and to find ways to do good. Divine power protects these warriors of virtue, warding off harm, protecting from disease, healing, and guarding against fear. The paladin can also direct this power to help others, healing wounds or curing diseases, and also use it to destroy evil. Experienced paladins can smite evil foes and turn away undead. A paladin's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast. Many of the paladin's special abilities also benefit from a high Charisma score.

So yeah, I'm posting again.

its not that I dont want anyone to know whats happening in my life its just that I got out of the habit. so whats new? whats happening? not a whole lot. I have a lovely job as a pharmacy tech as well as a beautiful fiance and future step-son and a lovely 7 month old daschund. its pretty much the perfect life. the American Dream. We've been working so hard and now we have a great appt and our live are going pretty much the way we want them to go. its nice to have a little time to figure out what we want to do tonite or tomorrow and not be under pressure to get this thing or that thing done. the new appt has such a better feel to it. like its a home. not just some place we're staying until something better comes along.

I'm trying to get back into some of my previous hobbies and some that I never really sucessfully go into but have always wanted to.

I'm looking into getting a new desktop PC and doing some Photoshop, some video editing, as well as gaming. BUT, I havent paid attention to new comps in so long that I have no idea whats good anymore. when I was last looking at comps the biggest hard drive capacity was 160gs. now the premium set ups come with a full terabyte and I have no way of knowing what a good prosessor is.

I want to start cooking again. when I first started college I was going for a degree in culinary arts and did a full year of a two year program but I saw what my instructors did after their days and the other students as well, I just didnt want to be that guy. even I was having to turn to "alternitave methods" to sleep at night. my other colegues were turning to booze or pot or coke/meth to get through their courses. it was well known that if you wanted drugs the culinary students either HAD or knew where to Get what ever you needed. so I haven't really cooked since. but I realized that all the other external stuff didn't stop me from enjoying the actual cooking aspect.

we're also getting back into the SCA again. We're also bring logan into it. I think having the whole family involved is going to be a blast. I'm also going to try to get into Heavy Fighting. it really depends on weather I can find anyone to train with that would work with my schedual. I dont feel that it would be worth spending the money for armor if I only get to practice once a month. but I can also do period brewing or some other A&S activity. I dont feel that I can be one of those scadians who just go to party.

I also am really excited about having all the books out of storage. there are just so many that I haven't read and I want to get on that.

so thats whats going on in my brain parts as of late.
2nd-Feb-2009 09:16 am - Who watches the Watchmen?
Chair-leg
I dont usualy get very excited about movies, but when books or comics that I've read become movies I just cant help it. and when those movies are so perfect it becomes a feeling that I cant describe with normal words so I have to improvise; Gloryicecreamstupendia! or mabye Fantastalitious! I like the the second one best. all I'm saying I get squemishly excited about movies like The Watchmen.

your opinion
so for those of you who dont know me I have some things I need to change. so yeah I'm absent minded, and if distracted at all, will completely forget what I was doing. I'm also a bit of a slob. every day I walk into the house after work drop my coat on the floor and then shed the rest of my clothes onto the floor and proceed to sit on the couch till I go to bed. now thats just one example of such slothful activities, but you get my drift. any way it needs to change.

If you saw ME in a police car, what would you think I got arrested for? Answer me, then if you want, post to your own journal and see how many crimes you get accused of.
3rd-Nov-2008 11:39 pm - Macho Macho Cat!
sad jayne
The day I moved out here my cat Macho died. He was found in the neighbors yard and looked like he had just fallen asleep and passed away.
I'm going to miss that weird cat.
he would snuggle up against you and get you rub his belly for a minute and then latch on to your hand with tooth and claw. then he let go and run away. 30 minutes later he'd come back snuggle up to you and lay on his back and look at you like "why aren't you rubbing my belly? I put it here just for you, as a gift to show you you're dominant. so why do you not rub it? is it not soft and white? does it not tempt you? go ahead, rib my belly." and you thing to yourself, "maybe this time he's honestly looking for love from me. maybe this time it will be different. yes, this time he will purr and spend the rest of the night getting his tummy rubbed, just like all the other cats in the world. who knows? people change, maybe cats do too." and you'd your hand and begin to rub his belly and low and behold, he purr and close his eyes. and then sink his claws into your wrist and bite that bit of flesh between your thumb and fore finger and you would know your folly and think to yourself, "OHHH, Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!" and then he'd run away.

We would repeat this for the next four hours or so until he went out side and found some small creature to eat and then leave its kidney or liver on my pillow as a peace offering. we had a complex relationship.

But I friggen loved that cat. He was the balls of the neighborhood pets man. anything that came in would answer to him. I heard this horrible sound one nght and looked out side to see my cat fighting with a fox and that fox ran for the hills with my cat chasing it. if that aint badass I don't know what is.

I'm sorry that I didn't say anything earlier, but I didn't realize that anyone else would care or even know what I was talking about.

Carrie brought a tear to my eye tonight with the following sentence:

"No, no, you just sit on the couch with your shoes off and your big plate of meat*, and I'll bring you a beer."

* She made carnitas for me from scratch, cooking pork in spices and beer for hours and hours while I was at work today so dinner would be ready when I got home. And saved me the last beer to drink with my dinner, since we haven't bought beer since we moved here (and we got two while trick-or-treating Friday night).

My belly is warm and I am happy.
